You have been seeing some positive results. And make sure you are eating enough to take care of your activity. It is possible that you are starving yourself without realizing it.

I hate to give much advice because my own journey isn't going so well, but don't get discouraged. Just keep working.Coryhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09577996840747125362noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-35216371.post-38421883795252087682006-12-05T11:24:00.000-08:002006-12-05T11:24:00.000-08:00Starvation is definitely not the answer. It will ...Starvation is definitely not the answer. It will only slow your metabolism even more.

And remember: the number on the scale doesn't tell the whole story. It doesn't tell you about muscle you've gained or fat you've lost.

Focus on eating healthy--whole grains, beans/legumes, veggies and fruits. Listen to your body and eat when you're hungry. Stop when you're satisfied.

We all hit plateaus! It's normal. Don't get discouraged, and just stay on the path to healthy living.

Good luck!~~Midnight Raider~~https://www.blogger.com/profile/12347412653937814298noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-35216371.post-15771474528461993962006-12-04T21:31:00.000-08:002006-12-04T21:31:00.000-08:00mama's advice is good. My WW leader told me about it, and I thought she was crazy telling me to eat more, but she was right. I was exercising to much and not taking in enough. I don't know about the shakes either, but fruit and veggies are a good way to go. Just don't give up.Living to Feel Goodhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09336956383875359565noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-35216371.post-9401122817596013182006-12-04T19:27:00.000-08:002006-12-04T19:27:00.000-08:00Your mama sounds adorable.Hi mama tigerlilly!!!!

I don't know about shakes.
Like you told me eat many times a day but always eat helthy and not too much. We need to eat like it will be for ever and shakes won't be forever. Plan a day of fruit and veg. every couple of hours and keep to it. I know you can do it. and with a trip to Las Vegas and all the distraction it willbe fine just order lots of fruit salad and vegetables and fish is good too.
Have a great trip.
Love MamaAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-35216371.post-13935016882895735352006-12-04T14:21:00.000-08:002006-12-04T14:21:00.000-08:00You know what I am going to say.
But before I say ...You know what I am going to say.
But before I say it have you considered that sometimes, the weight on the scae is VERY affected by things other than your diet/exercise.Like the weather, your menstrual cycle, having gone potty or not, water intake lots and lots of things are combined to make up that number on the scale and it really isnt a good measure of progress unless it is looked at long term.
Also you could try measuring, that often shows losses that arent reflected on the scale.

Other than that heres what i think.Dieting or whatever it is fashionable to call it now days is a great way to get fat.For every diet I have ever gone on in the past, weight watchers included,i have lost a lot of weight.then put it all back on,and then some.

Deprivation in whatever form it takes is really bad for you in the long run.Any diet can work provided you stay on it for life.Who wants to commit to spending every day of their life counting this, weighing that etc.

There is another way beautiful lady, that will work for any of us if we are willing to trust it.We have been doing this for about the same time and I have lost weight and kept it off in this time with no worries.Infact it has been fun taking my life back from the diet nazis.

Im not going to babble any more here because this is your blog and ultimately you get to decide whats best for you,but if you want to chat about it you know where to find me.I have been studying this for a couple of years/though not practicing, but i have a lot of reources that you could find helpful,if you wanted.

Regardless you are warm funny and i think very beautifulDont beat yourself up.
love lisalisa janehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01135823508619845400noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-35216371.post-73790557732285970782006-12-04T12:15:00.000-08:002006-12-04T12:15:00.000-08:00I find the Weight Watchers' program to be effectiv...I find the Weight Watchers' program to be effective with enough structure and flexibility to meet my needs. But . . . if you are consuming less energy (calories) than you are utilizing through normal means and exercise
and you are gaining weight, you really should consult with a doctor. At one point during my successful journey downward, I went for about 6 weeks averaging only about a half pound each week. Or was it only .2 pounds. In
any case, I tracked it down to a side effect of some meds that I was taking. It seems important that you find out what is really going on.ArleneWKWhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06442303488097811495noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-35216371.post-38793968284742817282006-12-04T07:36:00.000-08:002006-12-04T07:36:00.000-08:00I'm so sorry about your gain! I know how frustrat...I'm so sorry about your gain! I know how frustrating that is when you work so hard and don't see the results on the scale. But remember all the non scale results youve seen -- you've had more energy and stuff like that!

Starvation is NOT the answer! Try to only have 1 or 2 protein shakes a day and maybe just eat tons of fruits, veggies, water and lean meats.

Just try to hang in there and I promise you'll see the results eventually!jeannie*https://www.blogger.com/profile/03875705843499046851noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-35216371.post-55878728647549603242006-12-04T06:39:00.000-08:002006-12-04T06:39:00.000-08:00I don't think starvation is going to be helpful. ...I don't think starvation is going to be helpful. You'll probably see a loss (water weight) but then eventually you're going to get hungry and you won't like what the scale says.

How do you feel about Weight Watchers or something along those lines? Maybe something with a structure??? I don't know..I haven't made any progress in a while either. Why is it easier to give advice than it is to take it?

I wish you all the best and don't give up. What's that saying..The only way to fail is to stop trying.

(o;Michellehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17573880820317909555noreply@blogger.com
