Day 2

Ummmmmmmmmmmm... yeah I binged. :(

That is a habit I have gotten into when my hubby leaves town. I'm not sure why I do it.. but I do. I tried hard yesterday not too... and knowing that it happens, I went to the store and bought lots of fruit, Wheat Thins, Fat free jello pudding and a Healthy Choice pizza. Why I bought these things, I dont know, because I had plenty of healthy food already at home... just none of it chocolate or carbs. It would have been fine, but I binged.. meaning, I ate ALL of it... nothing is left, nada, zip, zilch zero. So I feel like a blob this morning. The funny thing is that the other side affect to my hubby working out of town is that I can't sleep. So at 11 pm I found myself steam cleaning my carpets!!! LOL. It took me a second last night to realize what I was doing.. but it finally hit home when I walked outside at midnight to empty the water resevoir from the machine! IT was FREEZING and I thought.. 'WHAT AM I DOING???" The great thing is that when the kids and I woke up and made our way into the play room the kids looked at the carpet and said "WOW". That made me feel good. I didnt think they would notice... but then again, they did use the grape juice puddle stains as some kind of Twister game! LOL

So today I have to try and get myself back on track. I dont have alot of energy this morning.. but am going to try another Tae bo Workout while the kids are busy with their morning cartoons.Lots of water... and eat as little calories as possible today. Maybe, just maybe, I can make up for yesterdays blunder.

I read some great blogs yesterday from the 2007 challenge. I am really looking forward to getting to know some of them better! There are some funny characters!!

Well.. wish me luck today.. I am off to try and make up for yesterday.. grrrrrrrrrr.

Have a Blessed Day

yesterday is over. Today is a new day. Today we only think about today. Do the Tae bo, but don't skimp on eating today or you will end up binging again tonight. Plan a nice healthy day and then tonight, when you feel like binging - do what Michelle did - pop in an exercise video. Or, clean a different carpet - then maybe you will forget about the food. We are all going to slip up. We know this. What is important are the days after the slip up. We're all here for you....You can do this!

It's a new day. Don't worry about what happened yesterday. We will binge from time to time, the important part is that we get back on track.

I know you will.

Have a great day!

Tigerlily,

That was yesterday. It happened, you learned from it and now it's time to move on.

And no fear, you are sooo not alone. I just ate a box of Bridge Mix chocolates.

If you are really looking to get your mind off food, feel free to come and steam clean my carpets! LOL

It's okay. We all do it at sometime. Just don't let it drag you down. You can only do this one pound and one day at a time. Lucky us we get to wake up to a new day and clean slate every morning.

Forgive yourself, forget yesterday, and forge onward!! Just like everyone said above, it's over and you are moving on! Recognize that your hubbys absence may be an emotional trigger for you and plan ahead for his future trips. Plan a day at the park or zoo with your girls and leave your spending cash. That way you pack a lunch and won't be tempted to overeat. Find something else to occupy your time!!

You can do it and you aren't alone!!

Hey Tigerlilly ... ditto Lola, Tee, Critter, and Fatinah! Today is a new day. Learn from yesterday and do your best today. My new fave snackie - Pop-Secret 94% fat free micro popcorn with a little Molly McButter (also fat-free) and a generous shake of Mrs. Dash extra-spicy. Yummy!!!

I have to say...you could have binged on worse foods than wheat thins and healthy choice pizza. Today is a new day - and look on the bright side, you probably burned calories steam cleaning your carpet. (which I chuckled at because I do weird stuff like that late at night too)
Drink a ton of water and flush it all out - today is a new day!

At least you learned something, and got the carpets cleaned too! I'm sure a little work today, and being a little more careful the rest of the week will be fine.

You probably binged because an emotional need was not being met and you unconsciously tried to soothe yourself with food.Id say you were probably feeling lonely and missed your husband, bingeing probably numbed out that feeling and gave you something else to focus on.eating and weight etc is a great distraction from what is really bothering us.

That picture of your little one is adorable.

And you need to realize that before you probably would have binged on MUCH worse stuff.... So at least you binged on reletively healthy things...

And now you can get back on track!! So no worries. We're human... we all mess up.
