Hump Day

I had a big Non-Scale victory yesterday. Hubby came home from work early, so I got to a little time to myself and I decided since the weather was warm yesterday that I would go for a bike ride. I havent been on my bike in at least 3 weeks because of the weather. Our house is in a valley, which means that either way I go I have to battle a hill.... yesterday I took the big one, mostly because it is a pretty ride on the other side.... usually when I go this way I only make it half way up the hill before I have to walk the rest... yesterday, I took it slow, switched to an easier gear and just wanted to get a little farther then I usually do... and before I knew it, I was at the top!!! I was so excited that I let out a little 'yippee' when I got there and kept going. I did a mile. I could have done more.. but I wanted to be home before dark. What a thrill going back down that hill at the end of the ride, knowing that I had conquered it!

Today is a day at home cleaning... I have to try and get a Tae Bo workout in sometime. I have been doing really well on my calories... yesterday was 1244. I made some DELICIOUSE Peking Chicken wraps with peanut sauce last night for only 290 calories each.. and they are huge, so you only need one!

I wish you all a blessed day and I challenge you to a non-scale victory today!

Great work on getting to the top of the hill on your ride! Sometimes it's the little things that make the biggest difference eh?!

And yeah, 9 cookies. Oy.

Have a great day.

Wow!! I've never ridden a bike up a hill. You rock, woman!! ;)

Can you share that recipe with us? It sounds wonderful!

Here's my NSV for the day - a coworker brought in brownies to celebrate her birthday. I ALWAYS have birthday treats, but not today! I had a sweet potato instead! LOL! Some of my coworkers laughed, but hey, a sweet potato is a much better choice than a brownie!

That hill victory is awesome, Tigerlilly! I'm so proud of you for pushing yourself to get to the top! And those Peking Chicken wraps sound delicious, care to share the recipe with all of us? I'm always looking for new low-cal dinner ideas. When are we going to get to see the pics of you modeling your clothing options for the wedding? ;)

Take care,
PSG

p.s. Thanks for the lovely comment you left on my blog yesterday, I think you're a great blogging friend too!

I'm so glad to hear that your bike ride went so well! That is fantastic! Keep it in that lower gear until that is easier and then bump it back up!
