Baking and Bikes...

So today is a beautiful day...cold, but beautiful. There is not alot planned today so I will most likely just clean house for tomorrows company. I have some great dishes planned... like, stuffing made with sausage, apple and dried cranberries. Mashed potatoes with chives. Green bean salad and of course two turkeys that my hubby will be frying. I am also going to be very busy in the morning baking an Apple Pie, Pumkin Pie and Sweet Potatoe Pie...all on request from my hubby. So that will be my priority first thing in the morning. Its going to make the rest of the day hard on the diet with the smell of all those pies drifting thru the house. Oh well...its worth it.

I found two mountain bikes that we can afford...unfortunatley it is at a stores 'black friday' sale. which means that if we want them I will have to head out at 4am to stand in line. I dont understand these one day sales..let alone this 4 HOUR sale that this store is having... Oh well... they are selling their Mountain Bikes for $40 each from 5 am to 11 am... and it is the only way we can afford to buy TWO of them. My husband was excited about starting our weekend biking trips.. so we agreed that the bikes would be our christmas gift to each other. YEAH!!

I am lacking my usual energy this morning... I think I have neglected my water intake and am feeling a little dry. I am going to try and do a pilates workout this morning with the girls.. wish me luck! I HAVE to get this body moving.. at this point I think I am just maintaining weight.. NOT the plan. So, today I am going to focus on making it PD#5.

Thanks to all my blogging friends for being so supportive. Your friendship means alot to me.. I hope you all have a wanderful day and a Happy Thanksgiving!!

Good luck with the bikes. All the fun you'll have on them will make it worth getting up at 4 AM!

That sounds like a great deal on those bikes! Too bad you have to be up so early... but it's worth it! My mouth was watering reading the feast that you have planned! Hopefully it's not too hard on your diet, but don't beat yourself up if you splurge a little. Just remember the 5 pound challenge... :)

I like the way you keep count with your days, ie. PD5. I 'm thinking that I'll adopt that annotation. Your menu sounds delicious. I don't think I could remain on track with all that temptation. Yaaaaay for the bikes. Very cooooool that both you and your hubby are up for the bike riding.

Woohoo mountain bikes! I want a bike so bad for Xmas, but there is just no money for me this year. I get a lot of stuff throughout the year so please don't think I'm complaining, but I have to put all the visiting family first this year. So get in line at 4 a.m., it will be worth it!

Good luck on turkey day. It sounds hard, but I guess if you get back on track on Friday, it'll be okay. Take care!

Oh my goodness, do you have any extra room at the table tomorrow? Because it sounds like it'll be DELISH!!!!

As far as the mountain bikes go thats an AMAZING sale!!! My girlfriend (Ar) is a bicycle mechanic (arleighs.com) and knows just about anything and everything about bikes (road and mtn), so if you ever have any questions just scream :) And it will totally be worth it to get up at 4am. Cant wait to hear about all your mountain biking adventures!!

Thanks for stopping by my blog:)

I decided to start losing weight when I started having chest pains from simple things like climbing my stairs at home. That sort of scared me into working out and eating right. Now my motivation just comes from how much better I feel when I'm taking care of myself. It's always hardest at the start...you have to get a solid week under your belt and then it becomes more natural for you to workout and eat right. I always tell myself that if I miss a few days. "I have to do a week and then it'll feel right again." I also found lots of motivation as I started buying smaller clothes. That's a HUGE push.

As for my 'diet', I never have and never will follow a 'diet' of any form. To me 'diets' just don't work. I count my calories. I eat what I want, when I want, as long as I stay within my calorie intake each day. I have become very consistent with my eating...

7am breakfast
10am snack
12pm lunch
2:30pm snack
5:30pm dinner

Snacks help A LOT! Find what works for you and be consistent. It becomes easier the more consistent you are. Hope this all helps:)
